OAKLAND — The Warriors rarely start two straight games poorly, so you figured they’d be locked in to open Game 2. The wounded Spurs were without their star forward and starting point guard, so you figured a road clunker could be in the offing.
A blowout seemed possible Tuesday night. An annihilation occurred: Warriors 136, Spurs 100, a 36-point destruction that pushed the Warriors up 2-0 in the West Finals — and two wins from a third straight NBA Finals — as the series shifts to San Antonio.
The Spurs never led in Game 2. The Warriors were up by as many as 39.
