The Golden State Warriors, despite a recent string of disappointing non-Cup losses, have gone 3-0 in the second annual Emirates NBA Cup tournament. They have clinched their spot for the next round as the first seed in West Group C, ahead of the 2-1 Dallas Mavericks, 1-2 Denver Nuggets, 1-2 Memphis Grizzlies, and 1-3 New Orleans Pelicans. Their final Group Stage game will be against the Nuggets on December 3rd, where they’ll have a chance to go 4-0 and land at the top spot in the West.
Per CBS Sports, “The winners of each group (based on round-robin record and point differential if a tiebreaker is needed), plus one wild card from each conference (best record of non-group winner), will advance to the knockout stage, where the tournament becomes single-elimination all the way through the semifinals and final in Las Vegas.
