TORONTO — Even before the Warriors grabbed their 16th straight win of the season to break the league’s record for the all-time best start, interim head coach Luke Walton began warning the masses that he eventually was going to begin resting players.
That eventuality might be on the near horizon.
Now 20-0, the Warriors play at Toronto on Saturday, tipping off the second half of a grueling two-week, seven-game road trip with five games in eight nights, including two sets of back-to-back games.
“Our overall picture is always: ‘Don’t overplay players for the sake of one game,’” Walton said.
