OAKLAND — Hours before Steph Curry went for 39 points in three quarters on the Hornets, his father Dell, the color analyst for the Hornets television broadcast, reminded Steph of his fortunate shooting genes.
Midway through Steph’s pregame workout inside Oracle, he spotted Dell standing over on the sideline, near midcourt, and “wanted to scare him.” So he tossed a basketball in his direction. Dell, a bit startled, reacted in time to deflect the line drive.
Then in a full suit, Dell picked it up, squared one up and banked in a 3 from 30-plus feet out.
