The Warriors’ 107-99 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night resembled Stephen Curry’s overtime “dunk” after blowing past Jarrett Jack. It wasn’t particularly pretty and cleared by only the thinnest of margins, but it still counts — and sends a statement. The Warriors needed a clutch Andre Iguodala three on their last regulation possession, a brutal missed lay-in by Brook Lopez at the buzzer, and an overtime period to preserve their season and home win-streaks. It would have been sad to see either the undefeated season or the dominant home record fall here. Still, you can make a good argument that the Warriors didn’t deserve to beat the Nets — that a different coaching decision here or a different bounce there would have lead to a very different outcome.
