With the Golden State Warriors trailing 2-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals to the Memphis Grizzlies, Steve Kerr and Co. hatched a plan that would turn the series around — leaving Tony Allen open.
Rather than allow Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph to pummel them down low, the Warriors switched around their matchups and put Andrew Bogut on Allen, daring the veteran to shoot.
And it worked, as Allen went 2-of-9 in Game 4 for just four points. The Warriors tied the series and went on to win the next two to clinch, and Allen had minimal contributions, missing Game 5 with an injury and playing just five minutes in Game 6.
