Sunday’s game between the Warriors and 76ers was statistically the biggest mismatch in the history of the NBA, and it looked like it.
The Warriors didn’t play especially well and still frolicked away with a 117-105 victory in an Easter matinee at Oracle Arena.
The Warriors (66-7) and the 76ers (9-65) started the game separated by 56 ½ games in the standings - the largest disparity between opponents since Chicago was 51 ½ games better than Philadelphia on April 12, 1996.
The Bulls won that game 112-82, and the Warriors looked like they could have won by at least 30 - if they ever put an extended stretch of good play together.
