SALT LAKE CITY — Five years, 500 games played and 40 minutes: That is Warriors coach Steve Kerr’s reasoning for resting forward Draymond Green in Friday night’s game here against the Jazz.
Green — who has been sidelined nine games with injuries to his back, finger and heel — will sit out his first game for rest purposes this season, but it’s a trend that will continue. After playing nearly 40 minutes in the Warriors’ overtime loss to the Knicks Wednesday, Green did not accompany the team for the one-game trip.
“This really has more to do with where we are with Draymond in particular, coming off the overtime game,” Kerr said.
