An active losing streak was not enough to wipe away the aura the Golden State Warriors have established in the NBA Cup this season, at least for a time.
In an ESPN roundup of NBA reporters about the in-season tournament published Friday, two of the five contributors selected the Warriors to make the cup’s championship game, making Golden State the only Western Conference team to receive two votes of confidence.
One of those votes came from Ohm Youngmisuk, who regularly covers the Warriors for the “Worldwide Leader.” His prediction for the finals includes a 2022 rematch with “a tinge of drama” given the recent history between Jayson Tatum and Steve Kerr.
