The spiraling Warriors continue their homestand against the Orlando Magic

In my pre-game post about the Warriors’ recent loss to the Miami Heat, I alluded to the possibility of a doom spiral. A loss to the Heat — who were without Butler — seems to have begun that spiral. Steve Kerr, feeling a sense of urgency, changed the Warriors’ starting lineup for a matchup against the Dallas Mavericks. Brandin Podziemski and Kevon Looney went to the bench in favor of Chris Paul and Trayce Jackson-Davis, but the result was the same. This new lineup, however, will be the starting lineup for the foreseeable future, according to Kerr. Tonight, the new starting lineup will get a shot at (unlikely) redemption against a jumbo-sized Magic team that is ahead of schedule and currently hold an 18-13 record.
