Life moves fast in the NBA.
Just last month, Jeremy Lin was celebrating a Raptors championship, flashing a wide smile as champagne mist filled the visitors’ locker room of Oracle Arena.
This weekend on Taiwanese television, Lin said that he’s been far from that mountaintop of joy this July.
“Free agency has been tough, ’cause I feel like in some ways the NBA’s kind of given up on me,” Lin said, crying.
Three weeks after the NBA’s free agency period began, Lin remains unsigned. He played 73 games between Atlanta and Toronto last season, but fell out of the Raptors rotation during their playoff run.
