The Warriors’ 115-106 Game 2 win over the Houston Rockets was simultaneously an example of how much Stephen Curry means to this team and how much the Warriors’ other players are capable of accomplishing on their own. It’s a truism to talk about the impact of the NBA’s Most Valuable Player, but the degree to which Curry facilitates the Warriors’ offensive fluidity was on full display in his absence. Still, even without pull-up 30-footers and the League’s best inside-outside facilitator, the rest of the Warriors ground out a gutty win in the alternate universe where they can’t simply fall back on having the best player on the planet.
