OAKLAND – The Warriors on Thursday scrimmaged for the first time in a week, and Stephen Curry once again was a bystander.
Curry, recovering from a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee, continued his recent routine of individual work at an adjacent court, followed by a private session after his teammates had vacated the gym.
Though Curry’s status has been upgraded from definitely “out” to “doubtful” for Game 3 against the Trail Blazers on Friday at Moda Center in Portland, it’s more realistic that he’ll return for Game 4 on Monday.
Asked if Curry could be cleared for Game 3, coach Warriors coach Steve Kerr said, “Probably not.
