Stifled (Warriors 104, Jazz 74)

Somewhere up there, Nate Thurman is smiling. It was Nate Thurmond Bobblehead night at the Oracle on Tuesday, and the Golden State Warriors paid tribute to their Hall of Fame defensive stalwart by holding the Jazz to 74 points. The Utah Jazz entered Tuesday night’s game against the Warriors second in defensive efficiency allowing a league low 94.6 points per game, while the Warriors came in leading the NBA in points per game( 117.9). This was a game billed to be a test for the Warriors as the Jazz’s length, defense, execution, and slow pace were plausible antidotes to the Warriors offensive game.
