Steve Nash seemingly realizes the range at which he’s involved with the Warriors — and apparently he wants to stay in his lane.
Now a player development consultant with Golden State after his illustrious playing career, Nash will reportedly skip the Warriors’ NBA championship ring and banner ceremony before Tuesday’s season-opener against the Rockets.
“This is their moment. I couldn’t be happier to be part of a championship team and, more importantly, this championship culture,” Nash told the New York Times. “But when you’ve played 18 years in the NBA and you win it all as a consultant, it doesn’t feel right to do anything but stay in the background.
