OAKLAND — Perhaps no one on the Warriors’ roster had more fun this summer than Klay Thompson, who became a social media hit during his visit to China.
It left Warriors coach Steve Kerr feeling a bit jealous about his place in the world.
“If I could do it all over again I would be Klay,” Kerr said at Warriors media day Friday. “I want to be Klay. He’s got it figured out. He just wants to play hoop and have fun, play with his dog. He’s the most low-maintenance guy on earth.”
Often overshadowed by star teammates Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant and by the big personality of Draymond Green, Thompson enjoyed what became known as #SummerofKlay during a trip to China to promote his Anta brand shoes.
