The Golden State Warriors and head coach Steve Kerr have agreed on a two-year, $35 million contract extension, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski:
Per Wojnarowski, the deal runs through the 2025-26 season, and it makes Kerr the highest-paid head coach (by average annual value) in NBA history.
"San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich makes more annually, sources say, but he holds the dual title of president and coach," Wojnarowski wrote. "Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra signed an eight-year extension that pays him approximately $15 million a season, sources said."
Kerr has coached the Warriors since the 2014-15 season, leading the team to four NBA titles and six Western Conference crowns in his first nine campaigns.
