With Warriors assistant coaches Jarron Collins and Mike Brown interviewing for head
coaching jobs, Steve Kerr is giving his full blessing to their potential job advancement.
“I always want all of my assistants to get a head coaching job,” Kerr said in a radio appearance with 95.7 The Game.
Brown was interviewed by New York Knicks for their head-coaching position this week, a league source confirmed to The Bay Area News Group. In eight seasons, Brown has accumulated a 563-347 record during tenures with the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
In addition, Collins, who has been an assistant under Kerr since 2014, interviewed with the Atlanta Hawks for their head coaching position, league sources confirmed to Bay Area News Group.
