HOUSTON — With 42.7 seconds left and the Warriors trailing the Houston Rockets, 95-94, Quinn Cook found himself open beyond the 3-point line.
It didn’t matter that it was Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. Cook did what he knows how to do best — he took one dribble, set his feet, and took the shot.
The ball bounced off the rim, leading that decision to be picked apart and criticized over the internet. But Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr was impressed that Cook didn’t hesitate.
