Wednesday night at Oracle Arena was more than just a thrilling, last minute win for the Golden State Warriors. It was also LGBT Pride Night, which serves as an important opportunity to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, and encourage everyone to practice acceptance, inclusion, and equality.
Not surprisingly, Steve Kerr had some powerful words to say. The Warriors’ coach seems to always have articulate and thoughtful sentiments regarding any important social issue, and Tuesday night was no exception.
During a timeout, Kerr addressed the crowd and the LGBTQ+ community with some wonderful words. But his greatest statement came in his pregame presser, when he not only preached inclusion, but praised the team and the region:
