After practice Wednesday night, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr lauded the high school students who are advocating for stricter gun control measures.
“I think it’s phenomenal what those kids are doing,” Kerr said. “It’s heroic. It’s heartfelt. I think it’s the beginning of some change. I really believe that. I’m amazed every time I see them on TV and online. It’s heartbreaking, but inspiring all at once.”
A week after a shooting rampage killed 17 of their schoolmates, the students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., headed for the state capitol, where they urged lawmakers to impose new restrictions on guns.
