NEW ORLEANS – Draymond Green had the second-most technical fouls in the NBA throughout the regular season with 15. But so far in the playoffs, he has none.
“That’s one of the great stats of this year’s playoffs,” Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr said Friday before Game 3 of their Western Conference Semifinals series against New Orleans.
Kerr called Green the “heart and soul” of the Warriors and said he’s done a great job of towing the very thin line between exciting his team with his demonstrative and fiery antics while not getting penalized.
It’s something he struggled with in 2016, when he was suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers after being assessed a Flagrant 1 foul for striking LeBron James in the groin in Game 4.
