TORONTO — Charlotte head coach Steve Clifford’s recent hiatus from the bench reinforced to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr the importance of work-life balance.
Clifford is set to return to Hornets practice Tuesday after missing roughly five weeks to deal with severe headaches. After consulting with doctors, Clifford learned that his health issues were largely the result of sleep deprivations and job-related stress.
Kerr recognizes how difficult it is to step away from the bench for health reasons. For more than two years, he has endured the aftermath from a back surgery that resulted in a spinal-fluid leak.
