Klay Thompson’s return to an NBA court after 941 days featured plenty of pomp and circumstance, from Steph Curry changing his crypto bro profile image on Twitter, to an abundance of tribute videos prior to game time. But the most interesting celebration of Thompson’s comeback came courtesy of Draymond Green.
The defensive stalwart joined the game for exactly one play, the opening tip-off, and then committed a quick foul to get subbed off. The reason for this, per multiple reports, was because of a calf injury he sustained during pregame warm-ups.
Draymond Green is not playing tonight (left calf tightness), but he still wanted to be on the floor with Klay for his return.
