U.S. Rep. Beto O’Rouke may have narrowly lost his U.S. Senate race to incumbent Ted Cruz Tuesday, but that doesn’t mean his political rising star has fallen.
During the race, the charismatic Democrat won the attention of the nation and the hopes of progressive-leaning entertainment and sports celebrities, who flooded his campaign with cash and endorsements.
On Tuesday night, these celebrities took to Twitter to urge O’Rourke to shake off this defeat in a hard-fought race and consider running for president against Donald Trump in 2020.
