The Golden State Warriors’ dynasty was already hanging in the balance when the 2019-20 NBA season started. A significant injury to Stephen Curry will be more than enough to close the door on the Dubs playoff hopes.
It hasn’t been a pretty start to the season. Back-to-back ugly losses to start the year, compounded by an embarrassing double-digit loss to the Phoenix Suns is nightmare fuel for Warriors fans.
Even so, the Warriors had the benefit of a two-time MVP on the roster. Curry’s averages of 24.0 points and 6.7 assists per game weren’t his best but they gave the Dubs a reason to have faith.
