Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is a three-time NBA champion and two-time NBA MVP, but it wasn't long ago that he was an overlooked high school player struggling to get noticed.
In an article for The Players' Tribune on Wednesday, Curry wrote about a meeting he had with a Virginia Tech assistant coach who offered him a chance to make the team as a walk-on: "Turns out, Virginia Tech was only meeting with me as—well, I wouldn't say a favor to my dad, like he would ever ask for that or anything.
