Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry vowed he was going to find a way to play through a shin bruise, and he's enlisting the help of some unique protective gear to do so.
According to ESPN.com's Ethan Sherwood Strauss, Curry is slated to don soccer-style shin guards Friday night against the Portland Trail Blazers as a preventative measure.
"I've got to bring out my Messi mindset tonight, so we'll see," Curry said, per Strauss.
According to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group, the reigning NBA MVP will sport Pro-S Elite shin guards from the company G-Form when he hits the floor.
