OAKLAND -- While others, including Pro Football Hall of Famers Deion Sanders and Warren Moon, criticized quarterback Cam Newton for his handling of the Super Bowl post-game news conference, Stephen Curry said he's not sure how he would have responded in the same setting.
"It's got to be a tough feeling, for sure. Anybody could probably say he could handle the situation better, but having not been in his shoes I can't really say how I would have responded in that moment," the Warriors point guard and 2015 NBA most valuable player said of his friend.Newton was terse and brief on the interview podium after turning the ball over three times in the Carolina Panthers' 24-10 loss to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium.
