Stephen Curry is quickly ascending up the popularity scale not just in the NBA, but also in the country and the world.
The Golden State Warriors’ point guard was nominated for Sports Illustrated’s 2015 Sportsman of the Year Award, pitting him against the likes of Novak Djokovic and Usain Bolt.
Curry has undergone a meteoric rise to superstardom, an ascension that started in the 2012-2013 season when he averaged a career high 22.9 points per game burst upon the scene in the playoffs.
The following year, Curry started in the All-Star game, and in 2014-2015, cemented his status with the elites by winning the MVP Award and leading the Warriors to their first championship in 40 years.
