OAKLAND -- Stephen Curry is hopeful North Carolina's new anti-discrimination law won't keep his hometown from hosting next year's All-Star Game.
On Thursday, North Carolina Gov. Patrick McCrory signed a bill that prevents cities from passing laws to provide gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender residents from being discriminated against. The state law essentially overturned an earlier Charlotte ordinance that provided those groups with protection, including the right for transgender people to use restroom of the gender with which they identify. The NBA issued this statement Thursday in response to the law:"The NBA is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for all who attend our games and events.
