The reigning MVP is being recognized for his league-wide contributions once again with an honor voted on by the Professional Basketball Writers Association.
Stephen Curry has been named the winner of the Magic Johnson Award recognizing excellence on the court with cooperation and dignity in working with the media and being accessible to fans.
Voters representing media outlets across the NBA considered Curry’s exemplary efforts for being accessible, accommodating and insightful in communicating with journalists around the country.
Previous winners have included Ray Allen, Grant Hill and Steve Nash, among others.
Curry was selected through a vote of Professional Basketball Writers Association members and was one of five finalists including Warriors forward Draymond Green, Portland’s Damian Lillard, Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks and Atlanta’s Paul Millsap.
