Warriors superstar Stephen Curry believes the Minnesota Timberwovles might have passed on him in the 2009 NBA Draft due to his love of golf.
During an appearance on The Ringer's Bill Simmons Podcast, Curry suggested that former Timberwolves general manager David Kahn opted to draft not one but two point guards ahead of Curry because the executive was spooked about how Curry's golf hobby would work out in Minnesota.
"My guy David Kahn, I don't know where he's at right now, I don't know if that ever came out," Curry said. "There's a story... Everyone knows how much I love golf and play it in my spare time or what not.
