OAKLAND – As Steph Curry continues to stack up accolades and awards at a rapid rate, he’s also very close to a milestone that puts him, in one way, at the head of the family table.
Curry enters Saturday’s game against the Nets with 1,243 career 3-pointers, ranking 43rd on the NBA’s all-time list. He needs three more to catch No. 42, none other than his dad, Dell, who made 1,245 treys over a 16-year career.
Naturally, Dell took note of the numbers and had a word or two with his son.
“He said shoot all the 2-pointers you want and let him live for another day or two,” Curry joked after shootaround Saturday morning.
