Major changes could be coming to the 2025 NBA All-Star Game when it tips off next February in San Francisco. But two of the favorites from last year’s All-Star festivities are set to return: Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry and Bay Area-born WNBA champion Sabrina Ionescu.
ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania broke the news on Friday that the league is considering instituting a new format for the contest. Under the plan, four teams would compete in a single-elimination tournament. Three of the teams would be made up of NBA All-Stars, with the final spot going to the winner of the Rising Stars Challenge.
