As most of the Bay Area sports scene was focused on the 49ers facing the Cowboys, the Golden State Warriors had the worst possible thing happen during their home opener: a Steph Curry injury.
Curry tweaked his left ankle during the second half of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, eventually limping off the court and directly to the locker room. The Warriors ruled Curry out with a left ankle sprain shortly after he left Sunday’s game, which the Warriors went on to lose 112-104.
Curry initially tweaked his ankle late in the third quarter while preparing to run around a screen on an offensive series.
