Steph Curry went over 15,000 career points on Dec. 17 against the Memphis Grizzlies.
It took him nearly three months to reach 16,000.
With a driving layup at the 4:17 mark in the first quarter Saturday night against the Thunder, Curry became the fifth player in Warriors franchise history and the 111th player in NBA history to reach that point plateau.
Among Warriors, Curry only trails Chris Mullin (16,235), Paul Arizin (16,266), Rick Barry (16,447) and Wilt Chamberlain (17,783). Curry could pass Mullin and Arizin this season, and, if healthy, he should pass Barry and Chamberlin next season.
