Stephen Curry hit “bombs” with Phil Mickelson, mingled with some adoring fans and had an emotional meeting with a PGA Tour player on a busy but memorable day at the Safeway Open Pro-Am Wednesday.
He even found time to swish a long-distance shot on a makeshift basketball hoop at Napa’s Silverado Resort. (So we can probably consider him ready for the start of Warriors training camp next week).
Always gotta get a little hoops in
But Curry’s focus was on his “other love” while teaming with Mickelson to shoot a 5-under 67 on the north course to finish three shots behind co-winning pro-am teams led by Corey Conners and Marc Leishman.
