After adding one more year to his contract earlier this offseason, Stephen Curry is closer to accomplishing his goal of spending his entire career with the Golden State Warriors.

Appearing on NBC's TODAY show (starts at 2:00 mark), Curry said "I hope so, for sure" when asked about finishing out his playing career with the organization that originally drafted him 2009.

Curry signed a one-year, $62.6 million extension with the Warriors on Aug. 29. The deal keeps him under contract through the 2026-27 season.

While the extension was a vote of confidence in Golden State's front office to build a championship-caliber roster around Curry, that group still has work to do to get them to that level.
