Last night and then tonight, the W’s are playing against the two teams who lead the league in pace (pace = # of possessions per 48 mins). The top three teams in pace are close.

  1. Kings (102.92)
  2. Suns (102.27)
  3. W’s (102.22)

But those same three teams aren’t proportionally close in scoring.

  1. W’s (115.5)
  2. Thunder (109.4)
  3. Suns (106.2)
  4. Kings (106)

And so it was last night. The Suns couldn’t keep pace with the W’s. No one can.
