OKLAHOMA CITY — Moments after the final buzzer sounded Monday night, Kevin Durant stood in front of the Warriors’ bench and dapped his less-heralded teammates as they filtered off the court.
Then, as he turned to walk toward the visiting locker room, the former face of the Thunder franchise smiled as he saw dozens of Golden State fans waiting nearby. In a game many in Oklahoma City had hoped could bring a measure of redemption, Durant watched his new team cruise to a 111-95.
It was yet another reminder that, in leaving the Thunder for the Warriors in July, the former MVP gained a much deeper supporting cast.
