Regardless of what Rick Barry says, no apologies necessary, ye who booed Joe Lacob on that fateful night three years ago.
That was a cascade of emotion and accumulated frustration that was genuine and deep. The only thing those fans knew was that they didn’t get the owner they wanted (Larry Ellison), and the new owners were kissing up to San Francisco and had just traded their favorite player.
It all turned out pretty good. Joe was no villain after all. But that sentiment was too legit to omit.
