With 1:41 left in the second quarter of the Warriors’ 125-106 loss to the LA Clippers, Warriors Kevin Durant took a transition pass from teammate Draymond Green, crossed over Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell and made a 22-foot jumper.

It was Durant’s 25th of 40 points on the night, making him the second youngest player in NBA history to score 20,000 career points.

The accomplishment cemented the latest chapter in Durant’s evolution.

In his first career game against the Denver Nuggets, Durant, then a member of the now-defunct Seattle Supersonics, shot just 7-22 from the field, mustering just two three-pointers in his first nationally televised game as a pro.
