OAKLAND — Golden State’s “Strength in Numbers” slogan — plastered all over Oracle Arena, highway billboards and yellow T-Shirts through the greater Bay Area — is more than a catchy phrase for the defending NBA champion Warriors, it’s a way of life. And it not only resonates with the players, front office, and fan base, but the coaching staff, as well.
For evidence, enter Aaron Miles, the second-year head coach for the G League’s Santa Cruz Warriors. He’s spending his second straight postseason as part of Golden State’s staff. And while he isn’t seated court-side along Kerr, and assistants Ron Adams, Mike Brown and Jarron Collins, he isn’t far away, nor quiet.
