On Friday, the Santa Cruz Warriors defeated the Agua Caliente Clippers 103-97 on the road even though the Sea Dubs leading scorer Damion Lee and forward Juan Toscano-Anderson were out.
Overall, the Warriors were 38.6% from the field, 27.3% from three-point range, making 29-out-of-38 free throws to go with 47 rebounds and 15 assists. However, they turned the ball twelve times, a concerning statistic.
Even though pace-wise the Santa Cruz Warriors and the Agua Caliente Clippers were close, based on the eye test, the Sea Dubs pushed the pace and were ultimately the better team. After being down by eleven for most of the game, the Dubs took the lead 91-88 in the fourth quarter and the Sea Dubs kept the momentum until the game was completed.
