The Santa Cruz Warriors announced Tuesday that the team has acquired 6-foot-10-inch big man Mac Koshwal, trading away the rights to forward Dominque Sutton.
Koshwal, 28, comes to Surf City after playing 15 games with the Bakersfield Jam this year. Playing 22.3 minutes per game, the Sudanese big man has averaged 4.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists on 52.5 percent shooting.
Growing up in Chicago, IL, Koshwal averaged a double-double in each of his three high school seasons playing at Boys to Men Academy in Chicago. He went to play three seasons for Chicago’s DePaul University, averaging 16.
