Ever since former Warriors sideline reporter Rosalyn Gold-Onwude announced last week that she’s leaving NBC Sports Bay Area for a job with Turner Sports, her life has become one crazy whirwind.
She’s still doing her best to respond to the more than 400 texts she received from friends, TV industry insiders, NBA players and others (Even rapper E-40 extended his congrats).
And then there’s the apartment-hunting in Atlanta, home of her new employers at TNT and NBA TV.
“I don’t know much about Atlanta,” she admits. “In some ways, I’m starting from scratch, socially.”
In the three years she covered the Warriors, Gold-Onwude — a former Stanford hoop star — honed her game to the point where it became obvious that she was destined for a national platform.
