Anderson Varejao's summer plans are reportedly about to change.
The Warriors' big man is unlikely to play in the upcoming Olympics because of a back injury, according to multiple reports.
The Olympics are in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Varejao is from Santa Teresa -- a neighborhood in Rio.
On July 17, the 33-year old big man officially re-signed with Golden State on a one-year deal.
The Warriors signed Varejao on Feb. 22, days after he was waived by Portland after being traded there from Cleveland.
He appeared in 22 regular season games and 17 playoff games.
