James Michael McAdoo will reportedly become an unrestricted free agent July 1 rather than remain restricted with the Warriors.
Golden State decided against picking up the third-year forward’s qualifying offer, according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes. That allows him to receive and sign offers from any NBA team once the free agency period starts.
McAdoo, 24, went undrafted out of North Carolina in 2014 and worked his way onto the Warriors — and their Gatorade League affiliate in Santa Cruz — after impressing Golden State at the NBA Summer League.
