The Golden State Warriors will be without Jimmy Butler for Game 3 of their first-round playoff matchup with the Houston Rockets, this according to a report from ESPN's Shams Charania about an hour before tipoff. Jonathan Kuminga will start in his place.
Butler was diagnosed with a deep glute muscle contusion on Thursday following a hard fall in the Dubs' Game 2 loss to the Rockets in Houston, which tied the series at 1-1.
With the series now moving to San Francisco and the Warriors in the home court driver's seat, they'll now have to rely on Kuminga, who was unceremoniously benched in a playoff seed-deciding final game of the regular season as well as Game 1 of the series.
